Description of RO Park Cities: This beauty is named in honor of our mentor Bob Coffee, whose Travis Peak Ranch cattle got us started in the longhorn breed. We purchased our first longhorns from Mr. Coffee in 1995. Mr. Coffee had already been in the business for 20 or so years and had helped many families get started on their longhorn journeys. We often saw those family members' eyes light up when we mentioned Mr. Coffee's name. Mr. Coffee was voted the 1999 TLBAA Breeder Of The Year. We learned so much from him and owe much of our success in the industry to his early guidance. Mr. Coffee was an architect and a creative type. His cattle and customer service were as good as it gets. Mr. Coffee's father was the mayor of University Park in Dallas for 20 years (the longest tenured mayor). We have named this heifer to honor Mr. Coffee and his father. In our mind, this heifer's dam represents the heart of much of Mr. Coffee's breeding program. Mr. Coffee told us that India was the best cow he ever owned. Her daughter TP Star Of India was India's most accomplished daughter (India's son Brawl was also very accomplished and was our main herd sire our first decade raising longhorns). Mr. Coffee purchased Abraham from Bob Loomis after he won the TLBAA World Show. The Travis Peak herd relied heavily on Abraham genetics through him and his son Ahab for over a decade. As Mr. Coffee got older we leased our bulls to him. JR Jace was a special bull that we had acquired from our other mentors Ron and Jo Jones of Salida, CO. Jace mixed with Mr. Coffee's cattle beautifully, producing many wonderful calves. TP Stella Dallas was our favorite of the group. Her beautiful heifer RO Park Cities seems like a great one to name in honor of Mr. Coffee's father. We love raising these cattle for their beauty, for the heritage, for the lifestyle, and also for the people we interact with along the way!
