Description of Big Chief 11: Big Chief is a giant! We have never weighed him but would estimate he weighs at least 2200 pounds. He stood out as the biggest bull in the show ring and has continued to grow. We have some very nice sons and daughters by him. His horn measurement was great when he was young, though his tip to tip slowed down as his horns took on more shape. Most of his daughters seem to have better horns than their dams. We did not use him for the 2008 and 2009 breeding seasons in order to use some of our better horned young bulls but plan to use him again in late 2009 and 2010. We put him back with about 40 cows on October 20th until we got Super Hero in February and are very excited about getting more calves from him next year!
